This year again ATHENS FLYING WEEK airshow was held at Tanagra Air Base, located 70 km north of the Greek capital. Traditionally, the main part of the show is taken over by the Greek Air Force, but recent years we have seen serious foreign participation, especially after the purchase of Rafale fighter jets and the increased cooperation of the Hellenic Air Force with air forces from the Middle East.The main highlights of this year's show were USAF F-35 demonstration team, Saudi Hawks and Eurofighter from Saudi Arabia, Fursan Al Emarat demo group from the Arab Emirates, as well as Spain's Patrulla Águila. For the first time in the history of the show F-4Es took off from Tanagra Air Base.
