Thracian Summer is an annual multi-national training exercise and collaboration between allied and partner forces of U.S. and Bulgaria. The exercise was designed to challenge the capabilities of the participants by presenting them with the chance to train with mission partners. The training includes flights in formation with mixed type of airplanes like C-130 Hercules and C-27J Spartan, low level flights in mountain areas and dropping paratroopers or cargo.
